  12. This is a port for the Amiga of the UN*X version of the Colossal Cave
  13. adventure game posted on the net some time ago.  This version has been 
  14. around for quite some time, but I never got around to posting it on the
  15. net here.  To the code written by David Platt and Ken Wellsch, I've
  16. added Amiga speech capability.  This uses the translator.library, so it
  17. may pronounce a few things strangely, but is generally understandable.
  18. Speech is sent to the narrator.device using SendIO(), so you can type while
  19. it's speaking, however, as the speech buffer is limited in size, long
  20. text passages will have a pause in them.  Speech can be turned off.  This
  21. distribution contains UUEncoded program, icon, compiled database, and a
  22. few associated files, plus an Amiga that will install the whole thing on a
  23. bootable disk for a system with either 256K or 512K (the 512K version runs
  24. the database from RAM:).
